The Red Hot Tool of the Week is a weekly email that features an online tool for small business owners. It can be a productivity app, statistics/metrics/analytics software, marketing tool, sales booster, customer service app, website add-on, collaboration tool, or anything that small business owners might use. We give it a test drive, and if it makes the cut, it gets featured as a Red Hot Tool. An easy-to-digest summary is sent out via email to subscribers.
The Red Hot Tool of the Week is a free service of the Bonfire — if you’re not yet receiving the Red Hot Tool emails, you can subscribe here. Small Business Bonfire members can access the complete list of featured tools in the Red Hot Tool archive (membership in our small business community is also free).
Here are the five most popular Red Hot Tools of 2012.
What about Pinterest? I love all of these, and thank you for that, but for our wedding officiant biz, Pinterest is the quickly becoming the most important source of traffic besides organic searches.
Celia – Pinterest is certainly a great tool, it wasn’t featured as a Red Hot Tool of the Week last year and that’s why it didn’t make this list. We don’t typically feature social networks, but rather tools that help small business owners use those networks (and do a lot more in their businesses!) more effectively.
I’ve tried Smore but somehow didn’t pursue it… I don’t know why but I must try it again. Exploratree looks very promising.
And yeah, Google Drive rocks!
Hi Alyssa, Google Drive is awesome. I haven’t tried the others yet. Thanks for the heads up.
I really like your RED HOT stamp!! Nice job.
Thanks, Ladies! Don’t forget we have an archive of all of the Red Hot Tools we’ve featured to-date (93!) available on the Small Business Bonfire community site — and it’s all free! You can sign up/login here: http://smallbizbonfire.com
Google Drive is my go-to tool for cloud computing. Smore is also a huge lifesaver, especially for er… design-impaired people like me. Thanks for featuring it! :)
