A cluttered inbox can be detrimental to your small business. For this reason alone, you should seek remedies to the problem as quickly as you can. There are a number of different apps available that can help you streamline and maintain an organized inbox. Let’s take a look at a few on the market and see what makes them ideal for a small business owner like you.
Mailstrom
If your email accounts runneth over, you’re going to appreciate everything that Mailstrom does for you. You can go from 1,000 unread emails to 0 in a matter of no time. Best of all, the app is free. All you have to do is sign up for an account, link your email addresses, unsubscribe from unnecessary mailing lists, set up some rules, and learn more about your email patterns. These steps will make it easier for you to avoid useless information and keep it from crowding out the important messages you need to read.
The pros of the app outweigh the cons. You can add all of your email addresses and manage them from the easy-to-use interface provided by Mailstrom. Keep in mind, however, those rarely received emails could very well go by the wayside because of the filters that you set. The process requires some maintenance as it’s not as automatic as you might suspect.
Swizzle
Why hire someone to organize your emails when you have the online tool Swizzle available for free? Under its heading “daily digest,” it will sort and arrange emails to come together with other similar emails under titles like “The Boss,” “My Clients,” and even “Shopping Deals” in about 15 seconds.
Another big plus to Swizzle’s format is that it lets you unsubscribe to emails you no longer want to have filling up your inbox. In a very short time, you’ll find the email you were looking for.
Mailbox
Free for iPhone and iPad users, this app is extremely easy-to-use. It allows you to view an entire conversation at once rather than just a few lines of an email. It also gives you the ability to archive and delete messages quickly and efficiently with swipe-based email sorting. Best of all, you can put off emails until you’re ready to deal with them. The snooze feature allows you to select a time where it is more beneficial to read and respond to your correspondence.
The only con with Mailbox is that it is currently only available on Gmail. But, if you want email your way, this app is one of the best ways to streamline all those responses in your inbox.
Email has become the most important (and used) communication channel for businesses. It’s important you keep these messages organized so you don’t become overwhelmed or let something fall through the cracks. Look at getting an app to help you efficiently manage your email, so you can focus on what’s most important: running a business.
